5th September: ATL 30th Birthday Bash

Aug, 2016

Broadcast and streamed live on the web!

Join us as we celebrate thirty great years of Across The Line, live and direct from Belfast's Ulster Hall.

It's a knockout bill including Neil Hannon (from The Divine Comedy), SOAK, Therapy? and many, many more!

This 30th Anniversary show will be broadcast and streamed live on the BBC Radio Ulster website from 8pm-10pm.

ATL began its life on the airwaves as 'The Bottom Line' in September 1986 and has championed Northern Irish bands from its inception. Branching out into the visual world as ATL-TV in 2004, the programme also nurtured musical talent with ATL Rockschool - a 'battle of the bands' show which in 2007 featured our very own Neil Hannon on the judging panel.

“I was practically reared on ATL, with Mike Edgar introducing me to so much amazing Irish music throughout the 90s. So, it’s a real privilege to be presenting the show these days alongside Stu Bailie - and to be involved in this 30th anniversary celebration gig."
Rigsy
"ATL and The Bottom Line have been a great source of my musical education. I remember the days of Davy Sims and Mike Edgar with fondness and it's been an honour to have become part of that fearless story. So many excellent artists have been nurtured, supported and promoted to the wider world and the Ulster Hall gig will see some of that love being returned by the acts."
Stuart Bailie

This promises to be a not-to-be-missed night featuring live performances and interviews from Neil Hannon, SOAK, Therapy?, Villagers (acoustic), R51, Saint Sister... and more!

And you can have the best seat in the house - get out the popcorn, sit on the sofa and watch the show from the comfort of your own living room! Now, that's how to spend a Monday night.

Happy 30th to everybody at ATL! x
